UPDATE: Ales Sentenced for Embezzling from Hospital
A former manager of Nutrition Services at Munson Medical Center has been sentenced to jail for embezzling money.
Jeffrey Ales will spend six months in jail.
Ales must also pay back $21,000 to the Traverse City hospital.
Court documents show that he made over $27,000 in personal purchases in the hospital’s name.
Ales was a employed by a company contracted by the hospital to oversee their food and nutrition services.
