DNR Awards Grants for White-tailed Deer Habitat Improvements
The northeastern Lower Peninsula whitetail deer habitat will be improving thanks to a grant.
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is awarding these grants to organizations and individual landowners.
Many of these grants will pay for plantings of fruit and nut-bearing trees, which provide a long-term food source for deer and other wildlife.
$50,000 will be divided among 12 successful applicants.
For more details on these grants, head to the DNR’s website.
