Cadillac Freedom Parade Marches Mitchell Street for Holiday

Independence Day started with a big parade in Cadillac.

People filled the sidewalks to take part in the annual tradition.

The Cadillac Freedom Parade marched down Mitchell street Friday morning, featuring hundreds of groups.

The parade featured everything from dancers to the usual sights of fire trucks and police cars and everything in between.

Organizers were very happy with the turnout this year.

“This is the first year that we’ve done our parade at the same time as Lake City’s and I was really impressed with our members of the community that came out to support their local community,” said Gabby Chapman, event coordinator.

The parade is part of the Cadillac Freedom Festival, which continued in the City Park until Sunday.
