Subaru Recalling More Than 660K Vehicles for Brake Line Issues

Subaru is recalling more than 660,000 cars and SUVs for rusting brake lines that can leak fluid.

For half of the vehicles, it’s the second recall for the same problem.

The recall covers 2005 through 2009 Legacy and Outback’s, 2008 through 2014 Impreza’s, and Foresters from 2009 to 2013.

It affects cars in 20 states where salt is used to clear roads during winter.

Dealers say they will replace the lines if needed and apply anti-corrosion wax.
