National Unemployment Rate Falls to 6.1%

June’s unemployment numbers has experts saying the recovery from the Great Recession is building momentum.

Hiring over the past five months has been the strongest it’s been since the late 1990’s technology boom.

Last month the U.S. added 288,000 jobs and the unemployment rate fell to 6.1% from 6.3%.

200,000 jobs have been added every month for the past five months.

That kind of improvement hasn’t been matched since 2000.

The unemployment rate fell last month and is now at the lowest level since September of 2008.
