National Forest Festival Celebrates Forestry Heritage in Manistee
For 78 years the Manistee National Forest Festival has highlighted the rich forestry heritage of the Manistee area.
The chamber of commerce says they expect upwards of 40,000 visitors to the area this weekend.
Organizers say there’s something for everyone at this year’s festival.
Stacie Bytwork is the Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce in Manistee. “We have things for kids, the whispering pens zoo, an art show, we have lots of different things for families for everyone to come to the community,” she said.
The festival runs from now until July 6th.
