National Cherry Festival Preparations
Races, parades, music, and of course, cherries. The countdown is almost over.
The National Cherry Festival officially begins on Saturday.
On Thursday, vendors continued setting up tents, tables and chairs to get ready.
Crews secured fencing throughout downtown and put together the music stage on Thursday.
Organizers expect half a million people at this years National Cherry Festival.
“We’ve got a great team here. Everyone has been very supportive of one another,” said Trevor Tkach, National Cherry Festival Executive Director. “This is a team effort and of course the city is a part of that team.”
Northern Michigan’s News Leader will be at the festival all week long.
