TC Already Seeing the Holiday and Festival Crowds

After the long, cold winter we just had, the businesses in downtown Traverse City have been looking forward to the summer more than ever.

Things tend to pick up after Memorial Day and even more so when school gets out but the beginning of July is when it all explodes.

With the National Cherry Festival on the horizon, shops say they see more families staying for longer.

Those that came last weekend are staying through the holiday.

The sidewalks are jammed and front street is a mess but for these shops that rely on walk up business, it’s a beautiful sight.

9&10’s Eric Lloyd checked in with some businesses feeling the boom and has more details.
