Greatest Fourth in the North Kicks off in Lake City

Thousands of people are heading to Northern Michigan to enjoy the Greatest Fourth in the North.

The festival kicked off in Lake City in Missaukee County on Wednesday.

Visitors can experience everything from vendors to music to great food. They also have a carnival with plenty of rides and games.

The festival is a big draw for the area and brings in people from all over.

One of the festival’s biggest attractions, the parade, starts Friday at 10 a.m. They also have fireworks over Lake Missaukee later that night.

The chamber of commerce says the festival means a lot to the community.
