Environmentalists Concerned About Mackinac Oil Pipeline
A group of environmentalists want Governor Snyder to help them get more information about an oil pipeline under the Straits of Mackinac.
Dozens of organizations demand Governor Snyder have Enbridge Energy Partners LP be more open about the line.
It carries about 23 million gallons of oil per day.
Enbridge says the pipes are safe and haven’t leaked since they were laid in 1953.
State officials asked Enbridge in May about the pipeline’s status, condition and future.
