Stepka Sentenced to Probation, Fines for Drunk Driving

The son of a Traverse City judge learned his punishment Monday for drunk driving.

Michael Stepka was sentenced Monday to one year probation and $900 in fines and court costs, but he will avoid jail time.

Stepka was arrested back in April in Traverse City.

He pleaded guilty to the charge.

In addition to probation, Stepka will go to rehabilitation and have to take weekly drug tests.

His father is an 86th District Court judge.
