Michigan Receives $6M in Job Retraining Grants

Michigan is one of 32 states getting money to help retrain laid-off workers.

The state will get about $6 million to help prepare people for jobs in high-demand industries.

The money is part of the Job-Driven National Emergency Grant program.

Altogether, the U.S. Labor Department is disbursing $155 million in grants.

They hope the grants will create or expand opportunities for on-the-job training.
