Lawsuit Filed Against BCBS of Michigan Over Hidden Fees

A federal court agrees Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is guilty of charging hidden fees.

Now the company wants the U.S. Supreme Court to take up the case.

A federal judge in Detroit recently ruled that Blue Cross is “self-dealing” and violating labor laws and owes auto parts supplier Hi-Lex Controls more than $6 million.

If the decision is upheld in the nation’s highest court, Blue Cross could be on the hook for millions more in similar lawsuits by other customers.
