Leelanau Trail Addition Provides Safe Travel through Suttons Bay
Cyclists and walkers now have a new and safer way to use a local trail system.
A new piece of the Leelanau Trail Connection provides a safer way to travel on the trail through Suttons Bay.
The new trail piece through the village was completed last fall.
Now Rec officials are able to truly showcase it.
The trail brings riders right to the waterfront park, beach and marina.
Arianne Whittaker of TART Trails said, “Takes them not only through the village, but along the waterfront so they see the places such as the marina and the parks that they wouldn’t normally see if they were driving by on 22.”
Leelanau Trail goes for 17 miles and connects Traverse City and Suttons Bay.
