Summer Reading Program Kicks Off at Wheatland Twp. Library

The organization Bikers for Books came to the Wheatland Township Library to kick off a summer reading program that promotes reading and literacy for children.

The program provides social engagement for kids as well as fun activities for them to do.

It stresses how reading can be fun and involves making crafts and hearing from special guests.

Kitty Moore, the Coordinator of the summer reading program said, “Some of the things we do they learn to follow direction they learn about the books and how important it is to read and that they can be fun and enjoyable.”

The program is on Thursdays from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Wheatland Township Library and goes until August 7th.

Kids of all ages are welcome.
