Lawsuit Filed Against GM Over Loss of Value

General Motors is facing a $10 billion lawsuit that says GM’s vehicles have lost value since they were recalled for faulty ignition switches.

The suit claims GM vehicles have lost value following a massive recall linked to a deadly ignition switch issue.

The complaint covers vehicles sold after GM’s bankruptcy proceedings.

It says the company’s actions have led to the decrease in value in vehicles sold between July 10, 2009 and April 1, 2014.

Documents show GM knew about in ignition switch problem that can disable airbags, power steering, and power brakes for more than a decade.

13 people died in accidents linked to the ignition issue.
