Government Scientists Possibly Exposed to Anthrax

The Centers for Disease Control says as many as 75 scientists are being monitored for exposure to anthrax.

It happened earlier this month at the CDC’s laboratories in Atlanta.

Researchers were transferring what they thought were inactive samples to a lab not equipped to handle live anthrax and the workers used the wrong procedure.

Some of the scientists were given antibiotics.

Anthrax can affect the skin, lungs and gastrointestinal tract, and can be deadly.
