TC United Way Unveils Additions
A local United Way unveiled some special new additions in Traverse City today, all thanks to a special grant funded by two local charities.
The United Way of Northwest Michigan showed off their newly re-designed offices and expanded-use community center.
Rotary charities and the Oleson Foundation played a large part in funding the project that includes new energy efficient windows, a multi-purpose bay room, and some upgraded technology.
Members of the united way are excited about the renovations and how they’ll help them provide for others.
Ranae McCauley, Executive Director at United Way, said, “If we help our community we’re doing what we need to do at united way, that’s our goal is to help our community be a better place to live and to harness the power of our community to make it happen or non profits to make it happen. We have a facility that we can do that with.”
The United Way of Northwest Michigan serves five counties, including Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, and Leelanau.
