Ferris State Hosts Conference for Foster Teens
For the 10th consecutive year, hundreds of foster teens and their chaperones met to discuss their futures.
It’s part of the Michigan Teen Conference held this year at Ferris State University in Big Rapids.
Put on by the Lutheran Social Services, the conference holds seminars and workshops to teach these kids how to live on their own and make sure they are ready when they leave foster care.
Statistically, foster children have a harder time adjusting to adulthood so this conference hopes to be the beginning of a smooth transition
