Suspected Benghazi Attacker Arrested by American Forces
American forces caught one of the militants who is believed to have carried out the deadly attack on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi.
Ahmed Abu Khattalah was arrested over the weekend in a U.S.-led raid and is now being held in a location outside Libya.
President Obama says the captured man will face the full weight of the American justice system and that U.S. will do whatever it takes to bring justice against anyone who harms Americans.
“It’s important to send a message to the world, that when Americans are attacked, we’ll find them and bring them to justice. Regardless of how long it takes we will find you.”
The ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, was one of four Americans killed in that September 11, 2012 attack.
