MSP Participating in Multi-State Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Initiative

Michigan State Police are working to help slow down crashes involving commercial vehicles.

The three-day operation involves police in Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.

Officers will focus on violations by commercial drivers on non-interstate roads.

The main violations police are focusing on are speed, improper lane use, and following too closely. They will also inspect vehicles for faulty brakes and tires.

Similar operations will happen later this summer.
