Ford Lowers MPG Estimates, Offers Compensation
Ford is lowering its fuel economy estimates for six models, and that means cash back for people who bought the cars.
The MPG labels fell between one and five miles per gallon less than what the cars actually get.
The biggest change is for the Lincoln MKZ hybrid whose fuel economy has been cut by seven miles per gallon to 38 miles per gallon.
Ford will compensate 215,000 buyers with payments between $125 and $1,000.
