Pentwater Woman Sentenced for Embezzling from Petunia Parade
A Pentwater woman will spend nine months in jail.
She admitted to embezzling $48,000 from Ludington’s Petunia Parade.
A judge sentenced former Event Chairwoman Donna Brown on Tuesday in Mason County to nine months.
The Petunia Parade is an annual event to plant thousands of petunias in the area.
Brown apologized in court to those whose money she stole and to her family.
She says she used the money to pay bills, and buy food for her family.
In addition to jail time, the judge also ordered Brown to pay the money back.
