New Building Planned for Wexford County Road Commission
The Wexford County Road Commission will soon have a new office building.
Plans to rebuild came after a portion of the building’s roof collapsed from the weight of nearly 12 feet of snow back in February. That incident led engineers to assess the entire building. Engineers found a number of problems and determined it would be cheaper to rebuild than fix the current space.
Repairs will also be made to a couple other building roofs.
Insurance will the cover the project cost.
Demolition is expected to start next week. The project is scheduled to be done by September.
A temporary office space will be used during construction.
The road commission is asking visitors to use the entrance near 25 Road.
