Back To The Bricks Crosses The Finish Line In Cadillac

The Back to the Bricks car show kicked it into high gear Sunday with its main event.

Classic cars lined Mitchell Street in downtown Cadillac for people to check out.

People from many all over the Midwest and Canada walked downtown to enjoy hundreds of classic cars in the bright sunlight.

Rainy weather cleared the skies as drivers put their prized vehicles on display.

Live music, entertainment and refreshments were everywhere during the annual show.

Over 400 drivers signed up to show off their rides, while hundreds more came out to enjoy the event.

Some of the registered drivers were veterans of the show but were as eager as ever to share their stories.

“It’s fun talking with people and telling them about the car and stuff like that,” said William Wright, Lake City resident. “We’re a group. Everybody’s got the same likeness. You like cars? We bring cars.”

The car show filled around eight city blocks and closed Mitchell Street until 5 p.m.

Drivers earned awards from the mayor in several different categories.
