Repairs Made to Gladwin Community Center After April Flooding

The show will go on after some major flood damage at a Northern Michigan community center.

Spring floods were a huge blow to the Gladwin Community Center in April.

Insurance problems delayed the start of repairs, and many events in Gladwin had to be canceled.

Now crews are clearing away the mold and fixing what needs it.

Every year a theater group puts on a show in July. While they couldn’t get inside, they’ve been using the outdoor amphitheater instead. However, they are ready to get back inside and not have to work around the elements.

The city administrator says the center should be open in five to six weeks.
