Man Sentenced to Additional Prison Time for Bath Salts
A man is getting more prison time for bringing bath salts into the country and selling them.
The Traverse Narcotics Team arrested Jacob Zoyiopoulos last year in Osceola County. The US Postal Service tipped them off about an unusual package.
Zoyiopoulos had several large packages containing suspected bath salts shipped to him from China. When police searched his home, they found the packages along with other drug paraphernalia and weapons.
In this latest crime, he was sentence to 18 months to 15 years in prison.
That’s in addition to what he’s serving now. In March he was sentenced to four to 20 years in prison for operating a meth lab.
