200 Mile Garage Sale Stretches Across Northeast Michigan

If you’re looking to treasure hunt this weekend, you may find plenty right here in northern Michigan.

Today kicked off this weekend’s 200 mile garage sale.

The sale will stretch from Grayling, to Houghton Lake, to West Branch and Mio.

Not only will residents be selling things old and new, but businesses will be getting involved as well.

They’re hoping it not only boosts the local economies, but draws people to visit scenic northeast Michigan.

Traci Cook, the executive director of the Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce explains, “They want to bring in people from downstate, from all over, but also just kind of share in that regional prosperity where we can all prosper from each other, and really just have that 200 miles of area where people can drive and see also the beautiful country we have, and see some sales along the way.”
