Mt. Pleasant girls’ soccer searching for program’s first regional title

Mt. Pleasant girls’ soccer already made program history on Tuesday, winning their first ever regional match.  Now the Oilers go for the school’s first ever regional title on Friday against Grand Rapids Christian.

Mt. Pleasant beat Muskegon Reeths-Puffer 2-0 to advance thru to the finals.  Katelyn Hartman scored both goals for the Oilers.  

Friday’s opponent, Grand Rapids Christian, is receiving votes this week in the Div. 2 girls’ soccer state rankings.  The Oilres have been unranked all season.

Opening kick is set for 7 p.m. at Cedar Springs High School.  The winner will move on to next week’s state semifinals.
