President Obama Reaffirms Support for Ukraine

President Obama voiced the United States’ commitment to supporting Ukraine and its newly elected leader as he continued his three-nation tour.

Earlier Wednesday the president wrapped things up in Warsaw, Poland before heading to Belgium for the the G7 Summit.

His address focused on the crisis in Ukraine and reaffirmed his support for the country and any NATO allies.

“As allies, we have a solemn duty, a binding treaty obligation, to defend your territorial integrity. And we will. We stand together now and forever.”

President Obama discussed unrest in Ukraine with his Belgian counterparts Wednesday.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s membership was suspended from the today’s G7 working dinner for the annexation of Crimea.
