Michigan State Police Inspects Commercial Vehicles Through Thursday

Fair warning to truck drivers; Michigan State Police are upping patrols making sure you’re following the rules.

Motor carrier officers are focusing on promoting safety and security through inspecting commercial vehicles.

It’s part of an Annual International Enforcement Operation.

State police will also be on the look out for tired drivers.

Driver fatigue is a factor in many truck and bus crashes.

“These three days the primary focus is going to be just on the inspection on the vehicles, ensuring that the equipment is safe and that the drivers are safe, and that they are operating properly out on the roadway, and keeping the general public safe,” Lt. Darrel Archambault of the Motor Carrier Division stated.

The Annual International Enforcement Operation runs through Thursday.
