An update tonight on the Emmet County woman accused of abusing her children.
Kimberly Loesch will spend 9 months behind bars.
Her husband, Phillip Loesch, is spending 30 days in jail.
Northern Michigan’s News Leader first brought you this story last July when the couple’s son ran away.
It led to the arrest of Kimberly and Phillip for child abuse.
In mid-July police were called to the Loesch home for a missing adopted 13-year-old boy.
According to court documents, Phillip and Kimberly required the three children to ask to use the restroom, limited their food and drink, and physically beat them. They also were not allowed to socialize with Loesch’s biological children.
