Donations Requested for Woman Who Survived Leroy House Fire

The community is asking for donations to help a woman who survived a deadly house fire Osceola County.

The fire happened in Leroy Tuesday afternoon. Police say 73-year-old Eugene Donovan died in the fire after becoming trapped in the home. Fire officials say his wife Beverly, escaped uninjured from the burning home.

Donations of sheets for a futon, double and twin bed are being requested, as well as, t
owels, washcloths, and toiletries. Woman’s clothes sizes 14-16 and 4X and boys clothes size 18 are needed. Beverly could also use monetary donations to cover all of the handicap equipment she lost in the fire. The donations can be dropped off to Henry’s General Store in Leroy on 104 Underwood Ave. The telephone number there is (231) 768-4443.
