American Automakers See Increase in May Sales
Automaker reports show Americans are buying more American-made vehicles.
Chrysler’s sales were up by 17% in May, boosted by the strong demand for the newest Jeep Cherokee model.
Ford’s sales are up 3%. Truck sales slumped when incentives were cutback, but Ford says sales of Fusion and Escape vehicles had a record month.
And despite millions of recent recalls, General Motors saw it’s sales jump 13%. The best the automaker has seen since August 2008.
