UPDATE: Several Car Wash Coin Thefts Believed to be Related

Continuing coverage on a series of coin thefts at car washes. Now police say the crimes are likely related.

It started in the city of Lowell last week.

The West Coast Car Wash in Ludington then lost hundreds of dollars in quarters Wednesday when a pair of men got into the coin dispenser. These are security photos taken at the ludington car wash.

State Police say the two men wen went on to hit Diane’s Car Wash in Grayling on Thursday. The owner says she noticed something was wrong when she checked the bill changer and it was empty, after she had just recently filled it. She called police and says $500 was stolen.  No damage was done to the machine, but the owner says the theft is a big set back

The men are believed to be between 19 and 25 years-old and were believed to be driving a light colored four door car, also captured on camera.

These are photos of the same two men entering the Walmart in Gaylord on Saturday where they tried to turn in more than $2,000 worth of change.

If you recognize these men, please call Michigan State Police.
