GT County Hit and Run Suspect Arrested
Police arrested a driver who they say was drunk when he hit a bicyclist and took off.
It happened Saturday morning on Barney Road in Grand Traverse County.
Deputies say an off-duty corrections officer was riding his bike when the driver hit him and drove off.
Deputies happened to be in the area and stopped the driver a short time later on Cedar Run Road.
He was arrested for drunk driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
