Tanning Beds, Sun Lamps Must Carry New Age Restriction Warning

Tanning beds and sun lamps will now carry new warnings as the government works to reduce the risk of skin cancer linked to radiation-emitting devices.

The government says anyone under the age of 18 should not use tanning beds or sun lamps.

The Food and Drug Administration has regulated the machines for over three decades, but will now require manufacturers to warn consumers about the risk.

The FDA also says manufacturers must provide additional warnings in pamphlets and websites in places that promote indoor tanning.
