Day Two of Mackinac Policy Conference Focuses STEM Skills

In the second day of the Mackinac Policy Conference on Mackinac Island business and political leaders are focusing on closing the skills gap.

The main points were on skills related to science, technology, engineering and math, or STEM.

More than 1,500 business and political leaders are on Mackinac Island this week for the conference.

Chrysler also took center stage joining a business-backed effort to push lawmakers to update the state’s anti-discrimination law to ban discrimination because of sexual orientation or gender identity.
