Woman Sues Meat Packing Company After Being Hospitalized for E.coli

A college student is suing a Detroit meat packer after being hospitalized with an E. coli infection linked to the company’s recall.

Rachel Tamminga filed a lawsuit against Wolverine Packing Company Tuesday in Kalamazoo County Circuit Court for at least $25,000 in damages.

She got sick April 23rd after eating ground beef at a restaurant in Farmington and at least one other location.

Tamminga says she was in the hospital for six days and still suffers from general weakness and discomfort.
