Gov. Snyder Speaks at Mackinac Policy Conference

“We are the entrepreneurial capitol of the world. We’ve got it in our DNA.”

Governor Rick Snyder is on Mackinac Island focusing on Michigan’s continued comeback and growth.

The governor is one of more than 1,500 people focusing on economic issues the state continues to face at the Mackinac Policy Conference held at the Grand Hotel. In attendance are civic leaders, business people, politicians.

They’ll be having some serious conversations over the next few days about Michigan, and how they can get involved in making the mitten better than before.

This afternoon, Governor Snyder focused on three pillars: entrepreneurship, STEM education and impact.

He says these are important to all of us, and won’t just reinvent Michigan in the present but in the future as well.

Meredith Barack will bring you continuing coverage tonight on 9&10 News at 5:00 and 6:00.
