Reining Liberty Ranch Holds Open House on Memorial Day

The Reining Liberty Ranch in Traverse City held an open house this Memorial Day, for veterans, their families, and anyone in the community to come by, and see what they’re all about.

The ranch is dedicated to helping veterans, using therapeutic horses.

It’s meant to be a peaceful place where veterans suffering from post traumatic stress disorder can go to relax, and connect with these animals.

Today, they wanted to show the community what they do, on a day when they’re honoring thsoe who have fallen in the line of duty.

“There are people that are friends of many of the veterans that are here, that are not with us today, and it is a day of remembering, and we want to be with them on this day, and we want to have good food and laughter, and yet remember those that have no been here in maybe a more positive way,” said ranch owner Becki Bigelow.

The ranch has six therapy horses, and they service about 25 veterans right now.
