Memorial Day Weekend Upticks Tourism in Petoskey
The holiday weekend is in full swing, and people are visiting Northern Michigan for Memorial Day.
After a long, cold winter, businesses are happy to see the streets filled with people.
Downtown Petoskey is seeing a lot more foot traffic now. Hotels and restaurants are packed with families.
Stafford’s Perry Hotel says they are already having a better year on the books. Reservations keep coming in, and they are seeing a 30% increase in business.
And Papa Lou’s hopes as the temperature goes up, more people dine outside and check out the patio view.
Business owners say if the weather cooperates this summer, and the tourists head North, as expected, they’ll have steady business.
