Isabella Co. Man Accused of Illegal Entry, Assault

It has been a busy weekend so far for the State Police out of the Mt. Pleasant post.

Late Saturday night police were called to residence in Union Township with a report that a drunk man had forced his way inside a residence of two women. He threatened the women and any police officers if they were called.

Troopers arrived and arrested the 28-year-old Mt. Pleasant man, who had a blood alcohol level of .17.

The man was on parole, which stipulates no alcohol, and he also was in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

He now is facing several misdemeanor assault and illegal entry charges, as well as being in violation of his parole.
