Chippewa Hills girls win a Division 2 MITCA Team State Championship

Chippewa Hills won the Division 2 Team State Championship at Linden High School Saturday with many of its runners winning posting 1st place finishes as well.  Jennifer McNeal won the 400 meter final.  Megan O’Neil won the 1600 and 3200 meter races. 
Cadillac’s Mike Holdship won the boys Shot Put event.

In the Division 1 meet at Wyandotte Roosevelt High School, the Traverse City Central boys finished 2nd as a team.  Trojan Anthony Berry placed first in the 1600 meter race and teammate Kyle Dotterer won the 3200 meter final.  In the field events, TC Central’s John Piatek won in shotput and discuss.

In the Division 3 meet at Kent City High School, the Charlevoix boys and the Benzie Central girls each posted Top 5 team finishes.  Individually, Stephanie Schaub won the 3200 meter race for the Huskies and Aaron Whaley won the High Jump for the boys.  Clare’s Jasmine Harper won the 800 meter and 1600 meter girls races. 

In the Division 4 meet at Saugatuck High School, the Evart boys placed 3rd as a team.  The Beal City girls also placed 3rd with Manton one spot behind the Aggies.  Beal City’s 4×800 meter relay team finished in first place and Addie Schumacher won the High Jump.  Onekama’s Randy Pienta took home the top-spot in the Pole Vault event and teammate Jordan Coe won the Long Jump.
