Two Sentenced for Child Abuse, Sex Crimes

An update on a story we first brought to you last year. Jack Bark Sr. and Kathleen Martin will spend more than a year in prison for child abuse and sexual assault.

They were sentenced in the Mecosta County Circuit Court in Big Rapids Thursday.

Last August police arrested Bark for sexually touching young girls for several years.

Martin was arrested soon after for knowingly allowing Bark to do so.

Thursday a judge sentenced them to one year and four months in prison with a maximum of two years after the two plead no contest in April.

Bark was the supervisor of Fork Township near Barryton at the time of his arrest.
