Campgrounds Gear Up for Holiday Customers

Northern Michigan campgrounds are busy getting ready to welcome Memorial Day crowds.

Campgrounds say they’ll be ready for campers no matter the weather.

Campgrounds like Camp Cadillac have been working hard to prepare for the holiday crowds.

They expect camp reservations will rise this summer.

Camp Cadillac says the cold weather kept people pent up inside longer than usual this year, and they’re dying to get outside this weekend.

Camp Cadillac owner Bobby Jo Austin said, “This year has been extremely slow getting going with the weather. Short spring, early memorial day weekend, so it’s pushed time to get all of the maintenance done that we need done before the big weekend.”

Campgrounds are filling up fast so you’ll want to call ahead for a spot.
