Hook & Hunting: Sturgeon Guarding Program

A rare fish species in Northern Michigan is at risk of becoming more endangered.

Sturgeon are spawning right now in the Black River and Sturgeon For Tomorrow wants your help protecting them.

The group says poaching is major issue and they want to do whatever they can to protect the endangered fish.

The sturgeon guarding program is looking for volunteers.

They say volunteering isn’t tasking, hey just want you to spend time hanging out on the beautiful state land. You have a shift watching for poachers.
