Ten local athletes recognized at football combine

TRAVERSE CITY — Ten high school football players from the area were recognized for their performance at last week’s Lake Michigan Football Combine and Exposure Camp.  

The group was led by Elk Rapids junior QB Adam Trautman who was named the combine’s MVP.  Trautman drew comparisons to former University of Central Florida QB Blake Bortles who was just drafted third overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars.  Trautman is also an MVP in the classroom sporting a 3.8 GPA. He helped lead the Elks to a 6-4 record last season and a playoff appearance.

The local athletes who were named to the all-combine team are listed below.
