Meth Cases on the Rise in Northern Michigan

Drug related cases are spiking across Northern Michigan, but one drug seems to be more popular than others.

That drug is meth, and making, selling, and using the drug are becoming all too common across Northern Michigan, according to police.

It’s for that reason that the court system is trying to do whatever they can to get a handle on the dangerous problem.

Grand Traverse County prosecutor Bob Cooney says they’re trying to make penalties more severe for meth users and especially for those making and delivering the drug.
