Wolf Hunt Could Appear On November Ballot
Looking ahead to November, Michigan is expected to certify a second statewide ballot referendum on the wolf hunt.
The Secretary of State’s office estimates the group Keep Michigan Wolves Protected collected more than 182,000 valid signatures of registered voters.
The group already got enough signatures to require a vote on repealing a 2012 law designating the wolf as a game animal.
Another group is collecting signatures to continue wolf hunting in the state, which began last fall.
